01.Excel：超越，胜过
excel [ik'sel] 做动词主要有两个意思
一是：超越，胜过
所以当外国人跟你说“You excel me”
是指你胜过了他 / 她
例：
He always hopes that his son will excel him someday.
他总是希望他的儿子有天能胜过他。
除了excel
表达“超越，胜过”的单词还有：
①surpass[səˈpɑːs]
例：
He was determined to surpass the achievements of his older brothers.

一般跟介词in搭配
例：
She excels in dancing.
她在舞蹈方面出类拔萃。
She excels in teaching English.
她擅长教英语。
除了excel
表达“擅长”的单词还有：
①expert at/in
在…方面熟练的
expert这个词作名词的时候
意思是“专家；能手”
后面可接介词on，at或in
比如：
He is an expert on/at/in lung diseases.
他是肺部疾病方面的专家。
作形容词的时候
表示“熟练的；内行的”
后面常接介词at或者in
比如：
He is expert at/in painting.
他的专长是画画。
