open是打开的意思，light是灯，那“开灯”就是“open the light”吗？

这是很多人都容易犯的错误，英语怎么表达“开灯”？

1.英语里的“开灯”
“open”有“开”的意思，但它更多的是指原本闭合的物体，把它从中间打开，比如：
open the book 翻开书
open the door 开门
open the window 开窗
这个“开”的反义词，一般用close，意思是“关闭、合上”，所以“合上书本”是“close the book”，“关上门”是“close the door”。

“turn on”也是“打开”，不过它还有一层意思是“启动或开启某个设备系统”。
所以一般电器或者电子设备的“打开”要用“turn on”，
比如：
turn on the light 开灯
turn on the computer 开电脑
turn on the TV 开电视

而它的反义词是“turn off”，所以“关灯”就是“turn off the light”。

2.英语里的这些“开”
在中文里“开”是万能的，但是在英语里，不同的“开”有各自对应的动词，除了open、turn on，还有下面这些英语里的“开”，一定不要用错哦~

开会：hold a meeting
开车：drive a car
开店：keep a shop
拧开瓶盖：twist off the cap
揭开酸奶：peel off the yogurt
撕开包装袋：tear open the package
翻开盖子：flip up the lid
打开密封袋：unzip the bag
